 The 47th Annual Seawall Art Show, Olde Towne Portsmouth, August 26 – 27, 

2017, is a fine art and fine craft show organized by a group of community volunteers and supported by the Portsmouth Museums Foundation. 

The show is an outdoor two-day event held at High Street Landing and the adjoining 100 block of High Street on the Olde Towne Portsmouth waterfront.

36th Annual New World Festival of the Art, Manteo, NC

Celebrating its 35th year, The New World Festival of the Arts will be held on Wednesday, August 15th and Thursday, August 17th on the waterfront in downtown Manteo.

Presented by PNC, the show is free and open to the public. It will be open on Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

New World Festival of the Arts is a family oriented outdoor show for spectators of all ages. The Festival provides awareness of the current trends in the visual arts while acquainting visitors with the historic town of Manteo. This once a year show coupled with so many other artistic and cultural events makes Roanoke Island a very special place in the hearts of its residents and the many visitors who come and visit the island every year.

Event Summary
Hope House Foundation, an agency which provides support services to people with disabilities, is celebrating its 32nd year of hosting the Stockley Gardens Arts Festival. The juried festival, located in beautiful Stockley Gardens Park in the heart of historic Ghent, draws thousands of people over the course of the weekend and in addition to fine art, features a wide variety of foods, music, and children’s activities. Our festival has been called Hampton Roads’ best arts festival and was named one of the top outdoor art events in Eastern Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine. We are proud to provide artists an opportunity to display and sell their work in a beautiful environment.

East Beach Plein Air Painting Escape and Show

The date of the 2017 East Beach Plein Air Painting Escape is scheduled for Thursday, April 27 through Sunday, April 30, 2017.  Similar to last year's event, most of the artists will begin arriving on Thursday afternoon/evening and will begin painting on Friday.  On Friday evening, we'll host a welcome dinner for all artists and hosts.  Saturday is another painting day and the art show will be held on Sunday afternoon/early evening.

The Seashore Art Festival 2017 will pay tribute to unique individual Artists with a vestige of the pirates of the Chesapeake Bay and JCA.  They do Kidz Cruz support all the title 1 schools. They were in the paper a couple of weeks ago. They really Do for these kids it brings tears to your eyes. They take 1000 kids to Walmart in big tour buses and give them 20 dollars to shop gives them clothes and a pizza party then they go to the lights at the Beach . The kids buy toilet paper and toothpaste. The organization also buys anything the kids need during the year when called by a teacher. Amazing!
