4' X 6', Acrylic on Canvas
Airbrush and Paintbrushed
After September 11, 2001, I was terribly upset and felt compelled to make an artistic statement about the series of events that followed that terrible day. As horrible as the pictures were, my goal was to hopefully instill in the viewer a feeling of patriotism and pride in our country and as a tribute to those who lost their lives during this tragedy. I can only hope that when viewed, our citizens will indeed never forget the event and continue to support our government in the quest for freedom and justice. I would like to thank all of the photographers out there who have provided the source images to create this painting. This work of art is not for sale and I do not plan to profit from it in any way. I plan on keeping this work in my home as a constant reminder. If any financial windfall should occur from the use of this work I would like the funds to go directly to the families of the victims of 9/11/01. Details of the painting can be seen by clicking on the thumbnails below. Thank you for visiting my site.
Regards,
Ed Obermeyer
