I used a cold press illustration board made espcially for airbrushing. I have found that these boards are whiter than most standard illustration boards and hold up to the use of frisket paper better than the others. Here I have done a detailed drawing of the little girl on the illustraton board. Once the drawing is done, I use a light coat of clear, matt, polymer medium and airbrush it over the drawing to preven smears or mixing of the pencil with the paints when I do the brush work and airbrush painting.
