This site explores the art work of Edward A. Obermeyer and his passion for natural subjects in paintings though natural wildlife experiences and research. Paintings are made from photographs of intended subjects and layered on multiple levels to achieve constant movement in each piece. Placing these realistic subjects on different levels provides the viewers with a unique way in which to view what are considered to be normal subjects in unusual viewpoints. The techniques of brush painting and airbrush are used for various realistic effects.

The paintings are later photographed and scanned to be used on this website or to be mapped onto 3D models in various grahics programs for a whole new type of art form. Limited edition prints are available of Dendrobates Reticulatus and Fragmented Hummers for $45.00 and small prints for $5.00. The artist is also available for consignment work in any subject matter needed by a client. EPSON 3000 wide format prints in various sizes are also available for much more cost effective prices.

Being an art educator, one of the purposes of the site is to educate othes about rainforests and a wide variety of wildlife species, many threatened today with extinction and to stimulate awareness of these species through art.

Travel is also a part of this artist's work and you can view one of the artist's trips to Costa Rica and follow the journal with text and photos taken during the adventure.

Graphic design and illustration are also a part of the artist's work, featuring logo design, corporate identity, illustration, magazine ads, brochures, and book covers. The artist is available for these types of job descriptions and can deliver in a timely manner to the client. Perfection and client satisfaction are the artists main concerns in this type of work as well as delivering the vision the client has for their individual project.
