This is the fifth painting I have done this year where I am trying to reinvent myself as an artist because of the research I have done on Aboriginal studies. I have completely left my comfort zone of realism for a more stylized approach to painting using the Aboriginal dot patterns and cross hatched lines to tell stories about where I have traveled. All of these pieces are going to be about our sailing trip to the Grenadines in the southwestern part of the Caribbean island chain. The series will contain images from Tobago Cays, Mustique, St. Vincent, Barbados, Bequia, Mayreau, and Chatham Bay. You can click on the links below to see thumbnails of the piece.
