At this stage, you can see the subtle change I made to the water. I airbrushed a peach tone similar to the peachy gray on the rocks over some of the blue to the water. This brought the land on the top left and the top right of the canvas into the water reflections and added a bit more realism. I have also begun the difficult task of painting the ropes with undertones of the base colors and then while each rope strand was wet, did angular lines of rope texture so it would blend with the rope colors. When dry, I dry brushed some more rope textures with very fine white sable and red sable lettering brushes.
