This is the same view, but now the rocks are coming into play. After comleting the grass in the right side, I began to layer in the rocks, using a tooth brush loaded with very wet paint to achieve splatters and texture. I began to build up layers of many colors that were each splattered (stippled) with light, medium and dark tints and tones. Controling the splatters was done with little bits of paper and my fingers or hand. Lots of the splatters were hand painted with lettering brush, as well as the cracks on the rocks.
